A gilded silver pair, cased quarter repeating pocket watch by Francis Gregg London.
Pierced cases with fantastic engravings and filigree. Both cases close well. The later white enamel dial is most likely from circa 1750 and was a common modification as enamel was easier to read and in fashion.
Possibly original hands, high quality fire gilded movement with chain and fusee. Fine engraving and piercing on backplate and coq. Rebuilt and running well. Chiming beautifully on a steel bell. In good all round order. complete with the original silver dustcover on the movement.
